Right now we're waiting on approval of a form from Immigration. Of course they're very backed up right night and the process for this form is taking about three months! We have our apt with them for fingerprints, but it's not until April 22. Steve has been calling Senators hoping one will get involved and help get the process expedited for us. I am sending a letter to Congressman Frank Lucas today explaining our situation in detail and asking him to please involve himself to speed this up for us and for Amelia.
Everyone keeps asking, "When are you going to get her?" This is about all we can say at this point. It's very discouraging waiting for so long while Amelia just sits over there getting older without the love and nurturing of her parents. PLEASE keep us in your prayers! We hope to bring our daughter home soon!

We created this blog so anyone who wishes can keep up to date with our adoption. We probably won't post much till we travel to Colombia to meet our daughter in person and bring her home.
It's my intention while we're there to keep a journal on this blog and post pics for all of you. There is just no way we'll be able to call and keep up with everyone while we're down there.
Also, I'd love for someone to come to Colombia the last week or so and help Amelia and I get home since Steve will be coming home sooner than I am. We'd pay for someone to come if we could but as most of you are aware we're struggling as it is to make this happen. If you're interested feel free to shoot me an email!
Ok, at this point we need to update a form with CIS (Immigration) before we can do anything else. We're waiting on our updated homestudy to do that. The homestudy should be ready sometime this week (WE HOPE!). The form with CIS will likely take at least a month. After that things SHOULD move very quickly. We'll obtain our visas and get a travel date and head out!
